The GSE - Host will report directly to the (Assistant) Maître D’ GSE - Host’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the welcome desk and ensure all guests that enter ATLAS are greeted and seated. Facilitates all guest needs and expectations in ATLAS by providing exceptional service. Ensure that all standard procedures, rules, regulations and sequence of service are highly implemented. Provide service that reflects the high standards of ATLAS and exceed all guest expectations. Support any activities of the management. Abide by all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of ATLAS Ensure the effective inter departmental communications are conducted in professional manner. Duties and Responsibilities To report on duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards. To promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the colleagues. To consistently offer professional, friendly and warm service. Participate in service as necessary in accordance with restaurant/bar needs To demonstrate a complete understanding of ATLAS policies & procedures and service standards To have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists and all other special promotions To be able to answer any guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way. To always take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring all guest leave happy Attend pre-meal briefing, weekly and monthly meetings to continually improve guest experience. To follow all of safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage. Carrying out any miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by your manager pertaining to total quality service delivered in restaurant. Check the SevenRooms reservation system and update reservation and table allocation accordingly Prepare guest spec sheets for service Assist in checking the info@atlasbar.sg email for any guest enquiries and act accordingly To assist in the day to day of reservations management for ATLAS for individual bookings, event enquiries To update ATLAS guest history profiles and guest preferences and assist in maintaining the VIP database. Daily preparation of the VIP and reservation guest list. Follows ATLAS telephone etiquette standards. Handle all incoming phone lines Clean and maintain host and concierge desks cleanliness and general upkeep, coordinating with Concierge Ensure proper housekeeping and general lighting at all Lobbies, courtyard and driveway areas. Coordinate with relevant departments if maintenance is required such as Housekeeping and Engineering. To check and interact with the guests in the waiting area To arrange and coordinate taxi services for guests Follows Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Reports suspicious people, parcels, and behaviours to Security. Perform any tasks as assigned by the Management.
Must possess outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation and communication skills.Must be guest-oriented and colleague oriented, have a vibrant personality, radiate enthusiasm to assist Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset. Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
