Security & Compliance (CIS Hardening): * Apply CIS benchmarks to secure Linux and Windows servers. * Conduct monthly reviews and remediation for compliance gaps. Linux Server Deployment & Configuration: * Set up new Red Hat Linux servers. * Configure firewalls, install required packages, and apply security policies. User Access Control: * Define and enforce least-privilege access using sudoers. * Review privilege escalations and audit access logs regularly. SSH Security Management: * Harden SSH (sshd_config) to enforce key-based authentication and disable root login. * Manage and rotate SSH keys for over 100 users quarterly. Password & Account Policy Enforcement: * Use tools like passwd and chage to enforce expiry and complexity standards. * Deactivate accounts idle for more than 90 days. Backup & Disaster Recovery (REAR): * Configure and test REAR (Relax and Recover) weekly for DR preparedness. * Maintain documented restore procedures for critical servers. System & Network Maintenance: * Troubleshoot server issues, performance degradation, and hardware faults. * Perform routine checks (e.g., disk health, service uptime, log rotation). * Support basic network troubleshooting (IP conflicts, DNS, etc.).
