Job Detail

ChemLex, founded by an interdisciplinary team in 2022, focuses on the disruption of chemical synthesis via its proprietary end-to-end high-throughput fully-automated platform powered by AI algorithms. Compared to traditional chemical synthesis via manual operations, our robotic platform not only improves the efficiency of chemical synthesis but also reduces cost and provides significant ESG benefit via our quantitative green chemistry system. Through this innovative platform ChemLex provides chemical synthesis services to global customers in the pharmaceutical, and other chemical industries. We are seeking motivated scientists, engineers and support staff to help establish a new R&D and production facility in Singapore which will house our fully-automated platform. We want to hear from enthusiastic applicants who have an interest in AI and automation and are energised by the idea of working in a start-up environment. About the role: We are looking for an Automated Chemistry Researcher to work at our new automated R&D and production facility in Singapore. As a new business in Singapore the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow as the company does, working at the forefront of AI & automation in the pharmaceutical and chemical synthesis industry. The Automated Chemistry Researcher will utilise the automated platform to solve chemical synthesis problems. The automated nature of our business means that the majority of work will be done at the interface with technology, so diligent planning, execution and communication will be critical. Job scope Key responsibilities Independently carry out automation project experiments, ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental data, and ensure the smooth completion of the project as planned. Based on AI spectrum interpretation, collect, organize and analyse experimental data, use professional software (such as Origin, ChemDraw, etc.) to draw charts and write experimental reports. Test and evaluate the performance of subsystems such as AI models and automation unit components used in the automation system in chemical scenarios and make optimization suggestions. Follow up on the software and hardware failures of the automation system in chemical scenarios and provide timely feedback to equipment management colleagues. Collaborate with AI, Automation, and related teams to jointly build a mature automation system platform. Ensure the safety, environmental protection and hygiene of all experiments. Standardize the use of equipment, make full use of resources, and implement daily maintenance work. To teach junior researchers, solve routine automation system application problems, train and share experiences. Others: Complete other tasks assigned by the company/superior as required.
