JOB DESCRIPTION KEY ROLE DESCRIPTION: The Social Work Associate (SWA) works in varied practice contexts where he/she offers support in welfare, case co-ordination and renders supportive counselling to the community. SWA works with Social Workers to ensure clients are well-served and programmes are executed, and objectives are met. RESPONSIBILITIES / MAJOR ACTIVITIES: 1. Assist in coordinating casework, groupwork and community development activities and programmes, supporting community events and performing administrative functions 2. Support the planning and implementation of programmes at the centre 3. Assist in providing interventions and evaluations for programmes conducted 4. Support community outreach activities and group work
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Diploma in Business Administration or Social Work 2. Other disciplines can be considered RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 1. Experience in related field of work would be an advantage 2. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & TRAITS: 1. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills 2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel 3. Demonstrate ability to be empathetic 4. Good communication and social skills to work with different people 5. Pleasant personality 5. Team player, yet independent to carry out most functions
