Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of both in-house and outsourced maintenance contracts as well as the use of assets and spares for NEL / SPLRT Permanent Way & Civil Structures department Manage, plan and execute team maintenance work according to developed plans, procedures and work instructions to meet established safety, reliability and availability targets Conduct periodical quality control inspections. Review, compile and prepare data for departmental maintenance reports. Plan, organize and lead ad-hoc projects contributing to improvement in maintenance processes and reliability enhancement.
Degree in Civil Engineering Min 5 years' maintenance experience in Mechanical, Civil engineering or Permanent Way in a railway environment would be advantageous Possess positive attitude and enthusiastic about acquiring new knowledge and skills Result-oriented team player with good interpersonal and communication skills Self-motivated and resourceful individual Able to work under pressure and independently Receptive towards work arrangements beyond office hours Ability to identify colours
