Collaborate with the senior management team to define and execute the company’s overall purchasing strategy, including materials demand forecasting and cost estimation Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes that support business objectives, ensuring alignment with operational requirements for price, quality, and delivery Lead the end-to-end procurement function to drive value creation, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver measurable cost savings in line with business goals Maintain up-to-date market intelligence, including insights into vendor capabilities, strategies, and emerging market trends Influence and advise internal stakeholders on the selection of direct materials that enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver added value to customers Build and manage a robust vendor base, nurturing supplier relationships and establishing a structured evaluation and selection process to ensure performance and compliance Develop and execute effective negotiation strategies with vendors to secure competitive pricing, ensure adherence to quality standards, and meet delivery expectations Proactively communicate market changes and their potential impact on supply, providing actionable insights to relevant stakeholders Recommend cost-optimisation solutions that uphold quality and service standards while supporting operational efficiency Champion sustainable procurement practices by incorporating sustainability criteria into supplier selection and assessment processes; evaluate environmental, social, and ethical risks, and conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and continuous improvement across the supply chain
