The Guest Services Supervisor plays a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless arrival and departure experiences for hotel and city guests. This position supports Rooms and Guest Management by supervising the Guest Services team - including Concierge - and coordinating transport, luggage handling, and guest-facing services with precision and warmth. As a visible presence in the lobby and driveway, the Supervisor ensures that every guest interaction reflects the brand’s commitment to personalized hospitality and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Guest Arrival & Departure Experience • Lead and support the Guest Services team in delivering smooth, timely, and personalized arrival and departure experiences. • Coordinate with Guest Services team to ensure prompt delivery, secure storage, and professional handling of guest belongings and requests. • Pre-empt guest needs and exceed expectations through thoughtful service and proactive communication. Team Supervision & Coordination • Supervise Guest Services Agents during rostered shifts, ensuring consistent service standards and team engagement. • Provide on-the-ground coaching and support to foster a culture of attentiveness, teamwork, and accountability. • Monitor lobby and driveway operations to ensure guest flow, cleanliness, and safety are always maintained. Transport & Logistics • Liaise with in-house drivers, taxi services, and outsourced valet/limousine partners to deliver reliable and courteous transport solutions. • Ensure all transport arrangements are coordinated efficiently, with clear communication to guests and internal teams. Guest Assistance & Local Knowledge • Offer knowledgeable, courteous assistance to guests seeking directions, local recommendations, or hotel services. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the hotel’s offerings and surrounding area to provide confident guidance and support. • Treat all internal and external guest queries with urgency, empathy, and professionalism. Safety & Brand Representation • Support Hotel Security Management by remaining vigilant in public areas, especially the lobby and driveway, and reporting any concerns promptly. • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and presentation, serving as a role model for the Guest Services team. • Represent Varel Singapore and Marriott International with integrity and warmth in all guest and team interactions.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a guest services or concierge supervisory role within a premium or lifestyle hotel. • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage. • Familiarity with property management systems (preferably Marriott PMS) and basic reporting tools. • Knowledge of local transport options, attractions, and services. • Calm and confident under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and guest recovery. • Passionate about delivering heartfelt hospitality and creating memorable guest moments.
