Equipment Engineer

The incumbent is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in production processes, ensuring optimal performance, safety compliance and minimal downtime. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to support efficient manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, productivity and cost-effectiveness of equipment and accessories. Assist in design, selection and installation of new equipment and machinery Collaborate with design engineers to ensure proper specifications and requirements Commission new equipment and ensure proper operation Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and accessories Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems and perform repairs when necessary Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance teams Monitor and evaluate equipment performance to identify improvement areas Implement modifications and upgrades to improve efficiency and eliability Develop and maintain equipment performance metrics and reports Ensure all equipment and accessories comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments Train staff on safe operation of equipment and accessories Maintain detailed records of equipment specifications, maintenance logs and modifications Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, manuals, user guides and work instructions Work closely with production, quality, process, R&D and engineering teams to resolve issues and support operations Provide technical support and guidance to equipment operators and maintenance personnel Participate in process improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma projects Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements and technology upgrades Test compatibility of accessories with semiconductor manufacturing equipment Conduct performance evaluations of accessories to ensure operational requirements Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to accessories during testing phases Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for accessories Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify issues and implement corrective actions Continuously improve accessory performance to optimize processes and reduce costs Ensure accessories comply with industry regulations, safety standards and company policies
