Test Engineer

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software, hardware, or systems through systematic testing and analysis. This role focuses on identifying defects, validating product performance, and verifying that all requirements are met before the product is released to the customer. Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications. Analyze user stories and requirements to identify gaps and create effective test scenarios. Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing. Execute both manual and automated tests to validate product functionality. Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks. Work with developers to create and maintain testing environments and automation frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Verify that software meets standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience. Document test procedures, results, and issues. Provide clear and concise reports to stakeholders on the quality status of the product. Suggest improvements and optimizations for both the product and the testing process.
