Project Engineer (New Build)

Job Detail

Assist the Project Manager in managing and supervising production and construction activities for new build projects. Support planning, scheduling, and prioritisation of work sequences and construction methodologies. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and resources are allocated. Monitor work progress onboard vessels and at workshops, ensuring alignment with project schedules. Conduct and chair production and coordination meetings with yard subcontractors, supervisors, and ship staff as required. Ensure works comply with technical specifications, quality standards, Class rules, and Owner requirements. Develop test and inspection plans and coordinate inspections, surveys, and approvals with Superintendents and Classification Societies. Follow through mechanical completion, commissioning, testing, and handover activities. Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation as required. Perform night duties, weekend, and public holiday support when required. Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time.
