Key Responsibilities * Perform structural analysis and design of marine structures including ships, offshore platforms, and subsea installations. * Utilize advanced finite element analysis (FEA) tools and software to conduct stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses. * Develop and validate structural models to simulate and predict performance under various loading conditions. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural analysis results into overall project designs. * Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders. * Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. * Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis. * Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and operational phases of projects. * Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine structural engineering and analysis methodologies.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. * Proven experience in structural analysis and design of marine structures. * Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent. * Strong understanding of marine structural codes and standards (e.g., DNV GL, ABS, ISO). * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred but not required. * Experience with structural analysis of offshore wind turbines, oil & gas platforms, and subsea structures and marine vessels. * Familiarity with software tools such as MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages for custom analysis and automation. * Knowledge of marine construction techniques and materials.
