Position Summary • Ensure and support the preparation and arrangement of all relevant HSE logistics i.e., fire box, Coordination tag boards etc. prior to vessel arrival and secure all HSE related items upon completion of refit. • To carry out atmospheric gas checks for all the confined spaces as per mandatory requirement. • To ensure the readiness of emergency related equipment’s onboard the vessel. • To carry out regular inspections for all work activities onboard the vessel. • To ensure all requirements as indicated within Permit to work system are complied with. • To facilitate in the daily conduct of the VSCC meeting. Tasks and Responsibilities • Daily checks onboard assigned vessel and surrounding work locations to enforce on mandatory and in-house requirements. • Participate and engage workforce in promoting safe work practices, accident & fire prevention program. • To participate in emergency situation by performing firefighting, rescue of personnel & pollution control. • To enforce on all in-house and local regulatory requirements applicable to ship building and ship repair scope for assigned projects.
