Your Job Molex is looking for Product Design Engineer to design our industry leading high-speed interconnect solutions for our customers. What You Will Do Conceptualize and Design: Lead and participate in design and development activities from concept to production with a well-defined Product Development Process. Design Improvement and Optimization: Provide engineering support for product modifications, cost reductions, manufacturing process improvements, and other activities as required. Collaboration: Work in a cross-functional team involved in new product development and manufacturing which may include interactions with team members across different time zones. Product Documentation: Generate design specifications, design proposals and/or product designs that meet customer requirements. Innovation and Research: Drive successful development of new product development projects, research and develop ideas for new and/or improved designs for the high-speed interconnect industry. Collaborative Problem-Solving: Provide consultation to Sales or/and Marketing on design and engineering related matters. Additional Support: Visit Customers, ODMs (Original Design Manufacturers), and CMs (Contract Manufacturers) to support product and manufacturing activities, if required.

Job Requirements

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred) Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems Oral and written communication skills Problem solving and critical thinking skills Team-oriented personality What Will Put You Ahead Proficient in CAD & PLM software such as Siemens NX, Teamcenter & Polarion Design experience with high-speed interconnect solutions Experience in a connector design and manufacturing environment
