Job Detail

Lead end-to-end planning, execution and evaluation of major fundraising, engagement and awareness events. Develop event strategies, timelines, budgets, risk registers and contingency plans aligned with organisational goals. Ensure all events uphold The Salvation Army’s brand, values, governance standards and public image. Conduct post-event reviews and drive continuous improvement. Oversee national events such as Red Shield Appeal & Luncheon, Christmas Kettling. Campaign, Race for Good and other community initiatives. Manage multiple concurrent event streams to ensure seamless delivery. Partner with Communications on publicity, media engagement and branding. Work with Fundraising to align events with donor targets and stewardship plans. Coordinate with Fund Administration on fund tracking, compliance and reporting. Liaise with programme units and service centres as required. Build strong partnerships with sponsors, vendors and venues. Lead contract negotiations and ensure cost-effective, quality delivery. Support sponsor fulfilment and recognition. Supervise and mentor event staff and volunteers. Ensure compliance with safety, data protection and fundraising regulations. Identify and manage operational and reputational risks. Prepare reports and presentations for management. Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Degree in Events Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field. 5–8 years’ experience in events management, preferably leading large-scale or national events. Experience in non-profit, public sector, or fundraising events advantageous. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines. Strong project management, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Experience managing budgets, vendors, and sponsorships. Detail-oriented with strategic thinking. Ability to perform under pressure. Alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission and values.
