The role will focus on product ideation, structuring, automation, and operational oversight of structured products. The candidate will generate bespoke trade and investment ideas aligned with different client risk profiles, investment objectives, and market views, while developing a structured approach to idea generation that combines quantitative insights, market analysis, and behavioral understanding. They will liaise with product providers and counterparties to structure and price customized products. In addition, the role will involve collaborating with IT and Product teams to automate the investment idea generation process by incorporating data analytics and rule-based investment logic, as well as defining system requirements and business logic to scale personalized product ideation and improve time-to-market. The individual will also manage the operational lifecycle of structured products, including product setup, documentation, execution coordination, and post-trade monitoring, ensuring that all product operations comply with internal controls, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Operations and Compliance teams, the candidate will help streamline processes and ensure operational excellence. Furthermore, the role includes contributing to thought leadership by producing market insights, articulating the logic behind investment ideas to build proprietary intellectual capital, collaborating with the Content Strategist to publish articles, reports, videos, and other thought pieces, and representing the firm’s structured product capabilities in internal and external forums when required.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline, with professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM preferred. They should have a minimum of five years of experience in structured products, investment advisory, or related roleswithin private banking, wealth management, or investment banking. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of structured products, including equity-linked, interest rate-linked, fund-linked, and hybrid structures, as well as familiarity with the front-to-back operational processesinvolved in structured products. A strong track record in product structuring, investment idea generation, or strategy development is important. The role requires an innovative mindset with a strong interest in technology, automation, and digital product design, and experience collaborating with technology or analytics teams to automate investment processes would be a strong advantage. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative skills, along with strong communication and presentation abilities to clearly articulate investment ideas and market rationale.
