The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for children and staff within the preschool premises. This role involves the daily cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, common areas, and restrooms, with a particular focus on disinfecting high-touch surfaces and toys to uphold the center's health standards. Additional duties include floor maintenance—such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming—as well as regular waste disposal and the monitoring of cleaning supplies to ensure the facility remains fully stocked. The incumbent will also assist with periodic deep-cleaning tasks, such as cleaning windows and air-con filters, and must report any facility maintenance issues to the Centre Principal promptly.
Candidates for this position must be physically able to handle various cleaning duties, which include bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. While prior experience in a childcare or school setting is preferred to ensure familiarity with industry hygiene standards, it is not a strictly mandatory requirement.
