The primary responsibility of a Bellhop is to assist guests with their luggage during check-in and check-out. This includes greeting guests upon arrival, transporting baggage to and from guest rooms, and ensuring that belongings are handled with care. Bellhops also provide room orientations, explaining key features such as lighting, air conditioning, and in-room amenities to ensure guests feel comfortable. They also manage the hotel entrance by welcoming guests, opening doors, assisting with transportation arrangements, and directing visitors. They may coordinate taxis, private cars, or shuttle services, and help manage traffic flow at the entrance to ensure safety and efficiency. Bellhops are often called upon to provide information and assistance, such as giving directions, recommending local attractions, or answering general inquiries. They may also assist with delivering messages, packages, or special requests to guest rooms promptly and professionally.
Able to speak and read basic English. Well-groomed and customer-oriented. Received prior training in fire evacuation and emergency procedures will be an advantage.
