Design and implement algorithms for structural anomaly detection from sensor data (e.g. camera, forward looking sonar, multi-beam sonar, etc.). Conduct simulation and field trials, including data collection, processing, and analysis. Work with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate algorithms into operational AUV platforms. Prepare technical documentation, research publications, and project deliverables.
[Fresh Graduates are Welcome] Technical Competencies : PhD (or near completion) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates without PhD but with strong technical competency and relevant experience will also be considered for this role Strong foundation in autonomous systems, robotic perception and 3D computer vision Proficiency in Python/C++ and ROS (Robot Operating System) Experience in machine learning and signal processing for anomaly detection. Familiarity with 3D reconstruction and point cloud processing Understanding of sensor fusion and navigation algorithms Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with AUVs, ROVs, or other field robotics systems. Experience in structural defect detection based on visual and/or 3D point cloud Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for perception tasks. Knowledge of autonomous mission planning Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and version control systems (Git). Previous work in infrastructure inspection, marine sensing, or predictive maintenance applications. Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Self-motivated and proactive in research execution. Excellent communication and teamwork skills across academic and industry partners. Willingness to participate in field deployments and trials.
