You will be responsible for overseeing the Fitness Centre at Damai and ensuring its smooth, efficient, and professional operation in accordance with established standards and procedures. The Team Leader – Fitness is responsible for supervising daily fitness centre activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and delivering exceptional fitness programs and services to members and guests. The role involves monitoring the condition and usage of fitness equipment, providing guidance and support to guests on fitness-related matters, and ensuring all facilities meet cleanliness, safety, and operational requirements. The Team Leader – Fitness is also expected to motivate and lead the fitness team, promote healthy lifestyles, assist in the planning and implementation of wellness initiatives, and maintain high standards of customer service. Through strong leadership, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach, the role contributes to enhancing member satisfaction, achieving fitness goals, and supporting the overall success of Damai’s wellness operations.
Possess a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science or relevant Fitness Trainer Certification. e.g., Fitness Instructor Course (FIC), ACE (CPT) or equivalent NITEC (Fitness). Possess a valid CPR/AED and Standard First-Aid certification (preferred). Hyrox certification/experience (preferred). Proficient in both verbal and written English. Able to work on weekends, public holidays and perform shift work. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel. Strong team player with good interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Service oriented with an eye for details. Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively. Able to work independently and has good initiative under dynamic environment. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
