Design, develop, test, and deploy in-house systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements. Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, coding standards, and development frameworks (Java, Python, SQL), ensuring proper documentation and version control. Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability, particularly for manufacturing-related systems such as Shopfloor Control, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Supply Chain systems. Collaborate closely with Solution Architects (SA) and cross-functional teams to develop new features based on functional specifications. Perform unit testing, troubleshoot system issues, and implement timely bug fixes. Assess project feasibility, provide accurate development estimates, and update stakeholders on timelines and progress. Continuously improve coding practices and technical capabilities, contributing to a high-performing development team. Maintain source code repositories, version control, and IT documentation (e.g., manifests, deployment records). Conduct basic system analysis and recommend practical, scalable solutions. Provide backup support for system operations and assist in data extraction to support production and business needs.
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in software development, with hands-on skills in Java, Python, and/or PL/SQL. Ability to communicate in Chinese is required to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders. Experience with Manufacturing Execution System system support. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively. Passion for software development with a proactive attitude toward learning and self-improvement. Exposure to Manufacturing Information Systems (e.g., Shopfloor, WMS, Supply Chain) will be an advantage. Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
