Beyond cooking, the incumbent is responsible for managing kitchen inventory, reducing food wastage, and ensuring that meals are served punctually according to the centre’s schedule. The Cook also plays a key role in maintaining a spotless kitchen and dining area to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe eating environment for young children.
The ideal candidate must be physically fit and capable of managing the demands of a commercial kitchen, including standing for long durations and handling heavy cookware. Possession of a valid Food Hygiene Certificate is required. A strong interest in culinary arts and a commitment to providing healthy meals for children are essential.
