Design, develop, and prototype analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for spacecraft and satellites. Develop and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, and system-level block diagrams. Perform signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal analyses. Work closely with firmware and embedded software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Conduct verification and validation of electronics through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. Implement design for reliability, including redundancy, radiation tolerance, and fault mitigation. Support component selection, procurement, and vendor qualification, with a focus on high-reliability and space-grade components. Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure designs meet mission requirements and operational constraints. Document design processes, test procedures, and results for internal review and regulatory compliance.
Required: KiCad and/or EasyEDA, Python, STM32CubeIDE or Keil Good to Have: OpenPNP, PCB fabrication knowledge, AI-enhanced circuit design tools (e.g., KiCAD + MCP) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in electronics design; space, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics experience preferred. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and power management. Experience with microcontrollers (STM32), FPGAs (only a little bit), or embedded systems. You must have worked on a project that included STM32 (any series). Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., KiCAD, EasyEDA) and simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink). Understanding of EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and thermal considerations. Familiarity with testing and verification methodologies, including at least some knowledge of satellite environmental testing (thermal, vibration, vacuum).
