This role focuses on student engagement and development by designing and delivering structured programmes to help identified students build skills in emotional regulation and behaviour management. It includes providing individual and small-group mentoring sessions while building trusting relationships to support students’ personal growth. The role also involves identifying behavioural triggers and implementing appropriate intervention strategies, reinforcing positive behaviour through coaching and modelling, and supporting students in applying these strategies within classroom and school settings. In addition, the candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, Year Heads, Student Management Key Personnel, and school leaders to align student support plans, provide feedback on progress and behavioural trends, and contribute to case discussions when required. The role further requires tracking student progress using agreed indicators, providing periodic updates and recommendations, and maintaining proper documentation of all interventions and sessions.
The ideal candidate should possess relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, education, social work, or case work, along with experience working with primary school students in areas such as student well-being, pastoral care, or behavioural support programmes. Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills are essential, with the ability to build positive relationships and support students’ emotional and behavioural development effectively.
