Job Description: Safety Strategy & Leadership • Develop and execute the organisation's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) strategy aligned with business and parent company objectives. • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, accountability and continuous improvement. • Develop, review and implement safety policies, procedures and management systems. • Oversee the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System and ensure continued compliance. • Partner with senior management to integrate safety into business planning, project execution and operational excellence. Safety Governance & Compliance • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, subsidiary legislation and relevant Codes of Practice. • Develop, review and implement company safety policies, procedures and management systems • Provide safety guidance for engineering, installation, testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements. • Conduct safety audits, site inspections and management walkthroughs, and ensure contractors comply with company and statutory safety requirements. Safety Incident Management, Training & Performance Management • Lead investigations into workplace incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions, including ensuring statutory reporting requirements are complied with • Develop and promote safety competency programmes, training, toolbox meetings and safety campaigns to foster safe work behaviours among employees and contractors. • Establish safety KPIs, monitor safety performance, recommend improvement initiatives, and represent the organisation on safety matters.
