Student Engagement and Pastoral Care Engage and support students involved in disciplinary matters through pastoral care, guidance, and strengths-based interventions. Build positive relationships with students, particularly those who may be at risk, and support their well-being, behavioural development, and self-management. Monitor student well-being and support the implementation of intervention or safety plans where required. Restorative Practices and Counselling Support Facilitate restorative conversations and support corrective counselling to help students understand the impact of their actions and take responsibility for their behaviour. Work closely with the school's student management and support teams to provide intervention, case follow-up, and ongoing support for students. Collaboration and Coordination Collaborate with school personnel and external agencies where appropriate to coordinate support and intervention for students with additional needs. Participate in case discussions and meetings to support holistic student development.
Tertiary qualification (Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma) in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline. At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in social work, counselling, pastoral care, mentoring, or youth/student support. Experience in student assessment, intervention, case planning, goal setting, and collaborating with community partners or external agencies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, school personnel, and stakeholders effectively. Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive cases with professionalism. Familiarity with restorative practices, behaviour intervention, or case management will be an advantage.
