Material Handler (12 months contract)

Job Detail

- Accept incoming shipments, verify their contents and check for damages or discrepancies, while accurately documenting received goods, updating inventory management systems - SAP and organizing received items in designated storage areas - Order Picking and Packing: Carefully retrieve items from inventory based on production pick lists or order sheets, and pack the items efficiently, ensure items are protected during transfer. include labels and prepare packages for internal production - Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring the proper handling of goods by utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary (if certified and trained) by following all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries - Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts and yearly physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records, including assisting in identifying and resolving discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records, ensuring restocking shelves and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. - Assist with warehouse/SAP administration tasks and maintain a clean and safe work area - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment - Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality before dispatching and report any damaged or defective items to supervisors
