Job Detail

Coordinate closely with Customer Service, Production, R&D, Warehouse and plating subcontractors and integrate sustainability and resource-efficiency considerations into day-to-day manufacturing planning and operations. Develop and optimise production schedules by balancing customer requirements, machine capacity, manpower, material availability and resource-efficiency objectives, with the aim of improving manufacturing productivity while reducing unnecessary resource consumption. Analyse machine utilisation, downtime, idle time, production throughput and capacity to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy and resource consumption within manufacturing processes. Monitor production and work-order data to identify process bottlenecks, delays, rework and other operational inefficiencies that may result in unnecessary material, energy or machine usage, and support improvement actions. Analyse raw-material consumption, production requirements, scrap and material losses to improve material utilisation and minimise manufacturing waste. Work with Purchasing, Production and Warehouse to optimise material planning and safety-stock levels - considering material efficiency, inventory requirements and the avoidance of excess or obsolete materials. Evaluate production planning and scheduling approaches to identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary machine running time, changeovers, waiting time and other resource-intensive activities within manufacturing operations. Prepare weekly manufacturing performance reports incorporating sustainability and resource-efficiency indicators, such as material utilisation, waste, machine utilisation, production efficiency and other relevant operational metrics. Develop and maintain manufacturing sustainability performance indicators and analyse production and machine data to track resource efficiency and identify areas for improvement. Analyse completed work orders and production records to identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, material consumption, machine idle time and other sources of manufacturing losses. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D and other relevant functions to identify, evaluate and implement sustainable manufacturing improvements, and monitor the operational impact of these initiatives. Incorporate findings from manufacturing and sustainability performance analysis into future production planning, scheduling and resource allocation decisions to support continuous improvement of sustainable manufacturing operations. Assess production processes and operational practices to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, material usage, production waste and other environmental impacts while maintaining required production quality and delivery performance. Support the development and implementation of sustainability targets and improvement initiatives for manufacturing operations, tracking progress against defined resource-efficiency and operational performance indicators and recommending further improvements where required.
