- Manage and maintain the NEL OCS System so as to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of such services meet all regulatory requirements for MRT operation. - Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to the NEL OCS system and equipment. - Meet Operational targets for availability and reliability of Power Supply - Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining the technical standard for Electrical Power Distribution equipment so as to ensure the highest level of operational safety for the MRT system. - To enforce Departmental Works Instruction system and all Rail related safety rules and procedures. - Responsible for the safety of departmental staff, related contractors and others working on the Electrical Distribution system in the NEL MRT premises.
