System Engineer

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for gathering user requirements, analysing change requests, designing, developing, testing, and deploying web-based applications that support business operations and digital transformation initiatives. You will work across both front-end and back-end development to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly applications that address key business challenges. You will collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders to understand operational requirements, recommend technical solutions, and ensure applications are delivered on time and meet user expectations. You will also support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements to enhance system functionality and user experience. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyse, and document user requirements, business needs, and change requests for application development projects. Design, develop, test, and deploy web-based applications and internal business systems. Develop both front-end and back-end application components to support business processes and operational requirements. Create and execute unit testing to ensure software functionality, reliability, and quality. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, system issues, and performance bottlenecks. Provide technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing and legacy applications. Implement continuous improvements to applications and systems to enhance usability, efficiency, and user experience. Design, develop, and maintain database queries, stored procedures, and database-related functions. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, coding standards, and test scripts. Collaborate with users, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
