The Teacher Resource Administrator (TRA) plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the academic department by overseeing teacher selection, scheduling, deployment, training and various administrative tasks related to teaching staff. This position involves close collaboration with teaching staff, coordination of administrative processes, and fostering smooth communication channels within the academic department.
1. Shortlisting Candidates: - Identify and evaluate potential candidates for teaching positions. -Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interview processes, and assist in the selection of suitable candidates. 2. Scheduling & Deployment: - Develop and maintain a master schedule for teacher deployment. - Assign teachers to classes based on expertise, qualifications, and class requirements. 3. Liaison with Teachers and Centre: - Maintain open communication channels with teaching staff, addressing concerns and facilitating a positive work environment. - Collaborate with the center management team to ensure alignment between academic and operational goals. 4. Teacher-Related Administration: - Manage teacher onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring smooth assimilation into the academic community. - Handle documentation related to teacher contracts, certifications, and other administrative matters. 5. Lesson Observation and Feedback: - Conduct regular observations of lessons conducted by teachers. - Provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching methodologies and improve overall classroom effectiveness. 6. Relief Teacher Sourcing: - Source and coordinate relief teachers to cover for those who are unable to conduct lessons due to unplanned emergencies or planned major events. - Ensure seamless continuity of classes and minimize disruptions. 7.Part-Time Teacher Compensation: - Ensure accurate and timely payment of part-time teachers in accordance with teaching rates for various class sizes. - Maintain records and documentation related to part-time teacher compensation. 8.Teacher Training & Development: - Participate in the training needs identification of academic staff. - Propose possible learning programmes to close the training gaps - Assist in organising learning programmes. - Review the usefulness of learning programmes. 9. Any other ad-hoc projects or assignments which might be assigned from time to time.
