"• Support the activities of the back-of-house kitchen. • Prepares mise en place (having all your ingredients measured, cut, peeled, sliced, grated, and pots/pans ready etc. before starting to cook), cleans utensils and work areas, and performs other day-to-day operations in the kitchen. • Follow the food service guidelines as well as contribute ideas in new recipes for continuous improvement. • Establishes a culture that promotes healthy living through Healthy Pre-School (HPS) Accreditation Framework and also takes initiatives to maintain, food hygiene, health and safety standards. • Attentive and meticulous, possesses good time management skills and is able to multi-task numerous physical tasks in a possibly high-volume production environment. • May be frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise operating in a kitchen environment. • Carries out cleaning on horizontal and vertical surfaces, used crockery and cutlery. • Handle and dispose waste, reinstate equipment and supplies used for cleaning, handle and report operation problems to the appropriate persons while on duty.
