•Conduct onsite or virtual assessment on new or existing pre-schoolers identified with learning and development needs using prescribed screening tools or methodologies •Facilitate effective communication and gathering of resources between external service providers or government agencies, parents and others •Formulate effective and individualized centre & home-based learning and intervention strategies •Foster effective and strong partnership with parent to execute home-based learning and intervention strategies •Partner closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the execution of the IEP as per plan •Monitor and review the progress of children’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and term progress reports •Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs together with the multi-disciplinary team
• Possess Degree in Psychology (focus on special education) or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention-Special Needs •At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the preschool environment or working with special needs children •Proficient in PECS, positive reinforcement and behavioural management strategies and other early intervention teaching methodology is referred •Proficient in crafting and planning of IEP •Good empathy, tolerance and temperament towards children is a must •Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills •Able to work well independently as well as within a team
