As an Infant Care Teacher, you will provide nurturing, individualized care that supports the cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development of infants. You will attend to daily needs such as feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring adequate rest while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets health and safety standards. You will observe and track developmental milestones, provide feedback to parents, and adapt routines and activities to meet the needs of each infant. Implementing age-appropriate learning and developmental activities is part of your role, alongside fostering positive communication and partnerships with families. Collaboration with colleagues, participation in staff meetings, training, and centre events are integral, and continuous professional development is expected to maintain best practices and improve care strategies.

Job Requirements

Candidates should hold an ECDA-recognised Infant/Toddler Care certification. A deep understanding of infant development, early childhood caregiving practices, and developmental milestones is essential. Candidates must demonstrate patience, compassion, attentiveness, and the ability to manage infants’ needs effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to build positive relationships with families and collaborate with colleagues. Previous experience caring for infants in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred, but fresh graduates who are passionate about infant care are welcome to apply.
