Launch Master

Job Detail

The Launch Master takes command of the harbor launch which provides seaward transportation and supports the safe transfer of passengers when the launch is out at sea. He maneuvers the launch, assisted by the Marine Assistant, and is overall responsible for the safe navigation and movement of the launch. When alongside, the Launch Master’s duties include checking on equipment status and machinery health, carrying out hands-on and practical seamanship duties including safe mooring of the vessel and other responsibilities for safe and effective vessel operations.
