-Ensures major hazards are identified, adequately assessed, evaluated, and managed in accordance with relevant statutory, client, and project-specific requirements. -Identifies safety engineering elements that are not fully integrated into the design and proposes solutions to rectify the situation. -Recognizes changes in regulatory requirements and advises relevant departments on compliance requirements. -Develops or supports safety philosophies, including passive fire protection, escape evacuation and rescue, and ESD. -Possesses knowledge of fire and gas detection, firefighting, and develops or supports functional safety management, including FSMP and SRS. -Leads hazardous area classification studies.
-Bachelor's degree in Chemical/ Petroleum Engineering -Minimum 3 years of relevant Process/Technical Safety experience preferably in the marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors -Engineering degree with a Master's or Diploma in Process Safety and Risk Engineering, and experience in Technical Safety will be strong added advantage -Possess positive and willing to learn attitude -Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
