• Source for materials and negotiate with suppliers • Ensure weekly forecasts with suppliers • Perform order management • Manage on-time delivery and Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) program • Analyse MRP load and reschedule plans • Resolve quality and other related issues • Strong negotiation skills and able to build rapport with both customers and vendors • Basic knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts and business law • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company Authority: • Return excess & rejected materials to vendors • Negotiate price reduction with the vendors and authority to purchase materials based on MRP generated by Materials Controller at prices not greater than standard price • Participate in the MRB disposition of material rejected by incoming inspection
• Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years' relevant experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in contract manufacturing or equivalent • Sound knowledge of raw materials costs and process time during negotiation with suppliers • Resourceful and able to build good rapport with suppliers • Understandings of the current market trends Knowledge of SAP is preferred • Excellent communication skills, team player with positive working attitude • Good analytical and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
