•Responsible for leading a team of buyer-planners in ensuring that the required raw materials and sub-assembly parts, internal and outside processed, is available to support the production plan at the right time and at the optimum cost possible. •Responsible for creating and revising business processes related to material planning and purchasing function to ensure delivery of optimum performance from the team. •Responsible for managing the MRP (Material Resource Planning) component of the ERP system. •This includes (1) keeping the master data set-up, up to date (2) releasing purchase order recommendations and updating of supplier confirmed delivery dates and (3) managing the exception recommendations due production plan schedule changes. •Responsible for creating supplementary analytical tools in MS Excel to trouble shoot problem areas and identify opportunities for improvement. •Automation for continuous improvement. •Responsible for defining the supplier KPI, monitoring supplier performance, and holding discussions with suppliers to provide feedback as necessary if they are lagging behind expectation and collaborate with them for continuous improvement initiatives. •Represent the Purchasing team in cross functional discussions and collaborations with production, planning, customer support, engineering and NPI and other relevant teams to ensure that company set targets for the short term and the long terms is supported with the right raw materials and sub-assembly parts. •Responsible for the maintenance of existing suppliers, such as delivery, payment terms, contract and agreement signing. •Be responsible for supplier's invoice reconciliation and provide financial proof of payment. •Be responsible for inventory control management. •Other tasks assigned by reporting officer.
