Provide comprehensive educational and learning support services, including identifying children with developmental concerns or those requiring additional support within the DS/LS programme. Work closely with a transdisciplinary team comprising Educational Psychologist, SLTs, OTs, Social Workers, EI-trained Teachers, Educational Therapists, and Parents to discuss and profile children’s learning needs.. Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, particularly mainstream preschools, to provide Development Support and Learning Support services to suitable children. Conduct screenings and evaluations for children identified with learning and developmental concerns by preschool educators, and present screening outcomes during case filter meetings. Plan and implement LSEd Support Packages (Language Development, Literacy, Social Skills, Handwriting), including the development of Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs) and End of Intervention (EOI) reports. Provide in-class support by embedding IEP goals into the classroom curriculum and ensuring strategies are generalised for children under Development Support cases. Act as a resource to early childhood educators, supporting children’s integration into the classroom environment and helping teachers manage learning and developmental needs. Deliver training to preschool educators on identifying children with mild developmental/learning issues, and coordinate relevant workshops for parents and teachers. Maintain consistent documentation of intervention progress, ensure compliance with programme guidelines, and co-develop preschool-based intervention frameworks with the DS/LS team. Take responsibility for managing assigned caseloads, contribute to service improvement efforts, and participate in the ongoing review and evaluation of DS/LS programme effectiveness. Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) or related field such as Special Education, and Early Childhood Education. Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS) is an added advantage. Strong interest in working with children with developmental/ special needs. Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as being a team player. Familiar with ordinary preschool curriculum and has prior exposure in supporting centres in coping with children with special needs.
