Teaching & Lesson Planning Plan and conduct individual and group lessons under the supervision of the assigned supervisor/Reporting Manager. Develop and provide inputs to programme related documentations such as Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Progress Reports (PRs) in the Transdisciplinary Team. Design and evaluate developmentally and culturally appropriate activities and environments. Facilitate quality intervention strategies to support children's developmental goals. Conduct home visits and centre visits as part of case management. Lead classroom field trips and special activities. Monitor attendance and conduct health checks and temperature taking of children. Maintain regular communication with caregivers through various platforms. Classroom Support & Maintenance Monitor, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress. Prepare reports for home visits, centre visits, discharges, and SPED applications. Manage or chair case discussions involving caregivers, teachers, and AHPs. Guide parents and caregivers in supporting developmental strategies at home. Report incidents and injuries according to organisational procedures. Work collaboratively in a Transdisciplinary team of teachers, aides, therapists, social workers, psychologists and administrative colleagues. Cover classes and support team members as needed. Classroom and Team Support Maintain a clean, safe, and conducive classroom environment. Assist in sourcing, creating, and maintaining teaching aids and resources. Track classroom inventory and ensure upkeep of equipment and materials. Guide and mentor Teacher Aides. Share responsibilities for class-related duties and general centre support. Professional Development & Organisational Participation Participate in staff training and in-house sharing sessions. Conduct training sessions for caregivers during support programmes. Engage in continuous professional development. Support events and programmes organised by SPD. Undertake other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, Director, or CEO of SPD
Diploma or Degree graduates in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) or related field such as Special Education, and Early Childhood Education. Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) is an added advantage. Strong interest in working with children with developmental/ special needs. Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as being a team player.
