This role provides crucial classroom support by assisting teachers with preparing materials, facilitating activities, and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment. You will also help document children's progress, collaborate closely with colleagues, participate in family and community engagement, and commit to professional development by applying new concepts in the classroom. As a Trainee Teacher (English), you will be focusing on looking after children from 18 months to 6 years old by creating a safe and conducive learning environment for children. You will be sponsored to pursue a 13-month Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching (Conversion) course. Upon graduation, you will be awarded the DECEE-T certificate and deployed as an English Childcare Teacher teaching children aged 18 months to 6 years old. A 1-year bond is applicable upon course completion.
This role is open to fresh graduates and mid-careerists with a Degree or Diploma from a local polytechnic in any discipline, provided they have a minimum of a GCE ‘O’ Level C6 in English or equivalent. Prior experience in caring for or babysitting children is an advantage. Essential attributes include good communication and interpersonal skills, a patient, adaptable, and positive attitude, and proficiency in using appropriate technology to both enhance children's learning and ensure data security.
