• Responsible for the skillful, timely and accurate collection of blood specimens from patients as requested by the clinician using any of the appropriate techniques listed below: · Venepuncture (Adult and Paediatric) · Dorsal Hand (Adult and Paediatric) · Blood culture specimen collection (Adult and Paediatric) · Capillary collection – finger prick (Adult and Paediatric) · Capillary collection – Heel Prick (New Born up to 2 weeks) • Ensure timely and accurate collection of breath sample for the Urea Breath Test / Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) • Acquire knowledge and skills on Laboratory Information System and required IT systems, including Plexus, FNG, E-Ordering, Synapse and SCM • Assist in managing supplies in the Laboratory. • Assist and participate in CME Presentations • Rotate duties between Hospitals as determined by Manager. • Work with Laboratory Operations Manager, Manager/Assistant Manager, Operations and colleagues to achieve accuracy, service quality, quick turnaround time and customer satisfaction.
