Key Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and optimize WebSphere Application Server ND (8.5/9.x), IBM HTTP Server, WebLogic (11g/12c), and Oracle HTTP Server. Support and maintain Tomcat (8.x/9.x) and WebSphere Liberty. Develop and maintain WAS scripting for automation and deployment. Perform installation, upgrades, and patching of middleware components, including Apache and other middleware deployments. Ensure high availability and performance through performance tuning and proactive monitoring. Work with RLM (Release Lifecycle Management) tools for efficient deployment processes. Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and scripting (Bash, Python, or equivalent). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve middleware infrastructure. Implement and maintain monitoring tools for proactive issue detection and resolution. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Middleware Administrator in a distributed enterprise environment. Expertise in WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, IBM HTTP Server, and Tomcat. Strong scripting knowledge in WAS scripting, Bash, or Python. Experience working on Linux (RHEL), UNIX, and Windows environments. Hands-on experience in middleware performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening. Knowledge of Ansible for automation and RLM tools for deployment. Familiarity with monitoring tools for middleware performance analysis. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with Cloud-based middleware solutions is a plus. Knowledge of DevOps tools and best practices is advantageous.
