The Big Picture: Grooming for networking success workshop with relevant tools and techniques 

Learning Outcomes: 

1. Getting ‘noticed’ and instilling ‘confidence’ when meeting potential employers and in networking 
2. Exhibiting proper and appropriate professional grooming 
3. Understanding and practising acceptable social norms that will help clinch your dream job and establish relationships that matter 
4. Presenting the correct body language and communication skills 
5. Expressing your interest and intelligence together with your ability to show trust, respect and be the sought-after person for the job 

Synopsis: 

Grooming for networking success workshop presents tools and techniques to excel in getting ‘noticed’ and instilling ‘confidence’ when meeting potential employers or business contacts in networking. Exhibiting proper and appropriate professional grooming, and demonstrating appropriate verbal and non-verbal gestures and communication skills; as well as ability to carry a positive, pleasant and respectable disposition. 

Key Objectives: 

1. Establish positive presence, command respect and trust with a professional disposition 
2. Practise how to self-introduce confidently, perform informal appropriate conversations, interpret non-verbal cues and engage in brief conversations through active listening; mindful not to make new contacts feel “captured” by non-stop one-way conversations. Be aware of the need to move around business contacts in a networking event and not just stick to one contact 
3. Understand the importance of networking to establish and sustain relationship through virtual and non-virtual communication etiquette in work and social situations
