About Event
BeyondSMU Career Fair brings together graduating students and recent alumni with employers offering full-time opportunities across various industries.
Happening on 25 March 2026, 10am–6pm, the fair features 15+ hiring employers and platform partners onsite, with opportunities for one-to-one interviews and group sharing throughout the day.
This event is primarily for SMU graduates seeking full-time roles, however Year 1-3 are welcome to learn more from the career talks and activities, and ask employers about their internships!

The Clarity Space offers graduating students and recent alumni a calm, supportive corner to reflect, reset and talk things through. Through short, guided conversations with Growth Luminance's growth specialists, participants can explore career questions, decision pressures, or simply take a breather from the noise.
No pressure. No judgement. Just a safe space to gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence.

Having assessed thousands of candidates, from fresh graduates to senior leaders, he offers a practical, behind-the-scenes perspective on how hiring decisions are really made. Participants will learn what employers genuinely look for, the subtle signals that influence decisions, common mistakes candidates make, and practical strategies to approach interviews with greater clarity and confidence. |

| 1.00pm-2.00pm | From Campus to Career: Winning Interviews Without Industry Experience By Wilson Toh, Growth Lead, Boston Consulting Group, SMU Juris Doctor Graduate Graduating with law and transitioning across tech, e-commerce, and consulting without prior industry experience forced me to build a repeatable system for career change. In this workshop, I’ll break down the exact pipeline to define your positioning, target roles strategically, and turn limited experience into a compelling value proposition in interviews. About the Speaker: Wilson Toh is a Growth Lead at BCG, where he helps scale career transition programs impacting thousands of professionals. A SMU graduate who survived two layoffs, Wilson has successfully pivoted from law across Airbnb (tech), FairPrice (e-commerce), and now consulting, all without prior industry experience. He shares practical frameworks to help others navigate career transitions with strategy, structure, and resilience. |
